Re: Installing on Arch Linux`

Looks like you have the 64 bit library installed but not the 32 bit version. Probably easiest to just use a recent snapshot mxbin instead of the one from 1.13. Recent snapshots are 64 bit. 1.13 is 32 bit and will need the 32 bit libraries installed.

Re: Installing on Arch Linux`

Try this:

pacman -F libXi.so

Then install the packages it lists.

Re: 2024-04-12 snapshot

I tried turning up the ground texture update rate, and that helped them load in a little faster, but it still was noticeable that they were still having to be loaded in. I also tried lowering my ground texture res like you said, and that makes them load in even slower than 4096x4096. I tried 512x51...

Re: Dynamic shadows

I think it have something to do with the game engine. This engine is very poor and power eater, it’s a really old game engine that can’t cast live shadows I’m affraid… Dang. The terrain engine was basically rewritten from the ground up in the past year and supports features that no other engine I'm...

Re: 2024-04-12 snapshot

I Was just asking because you know every single other game i play usually the higher settings gives a higher quality... I sometimes forget this game is like 14 years old with very minimal updates over the years. Might just go to Mx Bikes so i don't have to "look silly for complaining" Nah, everythi...

Re: Random game crashing

I was asking if your CPU or GPU are overclocked. Some people run their systems over the rated clock rate for more performance but it can cause crashes. Not sure why it'd only crash fullscreen. Maybe try "default fullscreen" and not one of the modes that change the screen resolution since that's more...

Re: Installing on Arch Linux`

I'd download it, open a terminal and do "tar xzf Downloads/mxsimulator-1_13-linux-x86.tar.gz" to extract it. Then "cd mxsimulator; ./mx" to run it.

Nothing obviously wrong there. Do you have anything overclocked?

Copy it over mxbin and give it execute permission with "chmod +x mxbin".

Re: Random game crashing

Anything in the lastlog.txt file?

In the location bar, type %localappdata% and then press enter, then open the MX Simulator folder, then open lastlog.txt and copy/paste the contents here.

Re: 2024-04-12 snapshot

That basically maxes every setting out anyone beside ground geometric detail and model geometric detail which should be maxed for best quality anyway though right? and it sets the terrain syn rate to 8 instead of 10. It still does it on certain tracks but its not as noticeable with syn rate at 8. T...

Re: Generating results page from demo?

It'd be pretty straightforward to make a script to translate results.txt to the server results format. results.txt doesn't have the names or UIDs so you'd lose that info.

Actually, if you post them I'll take a shot at converting them.

Re: 2024-04-12 snapshot

Idk what you keep doing to the graphics of the game but i have everything maxed, why is the track blurry 20 feet ahead of me then loads when i get closer? It's not the track because it happens on the pro national tracks and i always download the high quality versions. Don't "max everything". For so...
