They sound better than before. I think the two strokes sound like a modded out snowmobile though, it crackles and pops a lot. One thing I thought was funny (at least on the 4-strokes, didn't test it yet on the 2's) is when you are going pretty fast on a straight, then before the corner you downshift...

I'm not sure if this is just me, but I don't change my setup when riding different tracks. This topic, and ddmx's and Checkerz new track, motivates me to look further into my setup though.

Yes the FOV effects the free roam cam also. Again, the model is from MvA!

Someone on the last page asked what I use for my FOV, I said it's a secret, it's kinda obvious what I use though...

You can paint over it, but that won't look good since the shading won't be there anymore (unless the skin creator used an available template, then you could just copy and paste the shading). If not, there really isn't a way to take it off, most of the time people won't release a skin with their pers...
