Re: 2011-11-21 snapshot
and add to the upper range of rider mass distribution please, currently range is 33-50,up to 53 would be nice! You want your rider hanging off the back fender? :( Is that what rider mass does? I thought it simply located where the mass of your body weight was located, lower was more weight down low ...

detail friendly settings for ingame editor
the ingame editor is just too hit and miss for detailing track surface, it does seem capable of making small scale changes, but the level of visual detail and the circular tool are too limiting. it'd have a lot more scope with: 1. an additional larger scale "detail" gradient edit so you can adjust b...

Re: 2011-07-27 snapshot
I just wish in the game in general, the gravity setting could be upped a notch or two. yeh i agree,i've been playing this sim a few years, but i often take a break and when i start over, the thing that always strikes me first is how floaty it feels. the bike goes airborne too easy and then into slo-m...

Re: 2011-07-27 snapshot
didnt like the new snapshot on 1st impression, felt a little tamed, i couldnt see lap times improving with it,but after a couple of evenings riding it, i think the flywheel and torque adjustments (250's) offer better handling, nice work jlv! like the sounds too, the motor bogging down or revving out ...

Re: New editor tool
or put another way,i could set the tool to the width of my track, run it over the lap so my track surface is lowered and cut out of the landscape while keeping its original bumps and ruts.

Re: New editor tool
don't know if this is the same thing,i havent used the editor in quite a while, say i wanted to make a rough road with parralel ruts,i'd like to be able to make the the general elevation and direction of the road first then add the two ruts after. so basically like a bulldozer,i can set the width an...

Re: 2011-05-24 snapshot
The extra damping does make the power delivery more instant. That's why it's breaking loose earlier and making it swap more in the whoops. yeh but conversly it corners better, some of the "lag" in the drive is reduced with a stiffer setting, when the rear slides reduced oscillation between wheel sp...

Re: 2011-05-24 snapshot
gotta say i like the new snapshot, comparing the 250's,if i ride the snapshots back to back, same bike/setup and tracks, the new stiffer drive train puts the power down a little quicker but when the rear spins up it dont breakaway so fast, dunno if its the same for the 125's, i like it for the 250's,gi...

Re: Weight transfer, and getting that b*stard rear end out.
well for me IRL,what makes the best riders is how they move their weight around the bike. in game the top riders will use a high rider mass distribution setting because that offers the greatest leverage forward and back,of course the higher setting you go the more critical correct positioning become...

Re: improving terrain physics
grip gradient i think is a key issue, when a bikes leant over a knobbly on dirt or other loose surface digs in,slides digs in,you balance that feedback, and on harder surfaces you can feel the side knobs give when you're pushing near the limit but in game most often its a very short feedback rate. it...
