Re: 450s/250 TWO SMOKES over NEW SNAPSHOTS
I don't know if you want to do that. If you elected me president on Monday, the Government would be a private company by Tuesday. And then the country might actually see some liberty for once, but no one wants that, of course.

Re: 450's
How about we just ride with rolling chassis until there's a standard controller for fluid clutch control, full six-degrees-of-freedom rider movements, sound effects so real that you'd swear you're there, a device that can accurately put engine vibrations through your chair, another device to throw r...

Re: 450s/250 TWO SMOKES over NEW SNAPSHOTS
In spite of the immediate shitstorm that this topic always brings, I think it's perfectly valid. The ONE thing that you hear the most, over everything else, is that we want more displacements. Why? It's not because the riders feel they've reached the limits of the 125/250F. If we were to wait for ev...

Re: Meet the 120
This bike is special, for some reason. There's just something about it that makes it feel like it's got endless personality. I think it's the combination of the awesome sound, the ridiculous way it pulls away from other small-bores 5 years newer, and the weird transmission and its engine reliability...

Re: Story of a Heroin Addict. This thread is right.
It's not about how fast you can go, but how quickly you can get to the limit. If you can do zero to "can I help you officer" in five seconds, it's worth a bit of investment. Anyway, you guys have probably heard me make this argument before, but we don't need to give up the dirt bikes and cars and al...

Re: I HATE FALLING OFF
The one complaint I have is that there's no way to save it. I've had a few times when the bike stays up for a little while on some gyro effect or whatever, and the rider's just floating up there, defying gravity, until it eventually flops over. When you pull a Flying W, it's occasionally possible to...

Re: Meet the 120
Well... it wasn't. First, I should point out that I've never ridden with the compound thing, so I don't know too much about it. But the way it supposedly worked is, you had street gears and trail gears. When you were on the trail, you'd have your four speeds like I use on it right now, but then when...

Re: Meet the 120
It's actually 115cc, but that is why they called it that. It's actually not a pain to ride at all, but you have to know its limitations. First off, I should say that this bike handles better than my '82 Husky, mainly because it's really low, really light (175lbs) and really short. That allows you to...

Meet the 120
This is my favorite bike on the planet. If someone offered me a straight-up trade between this bike and a pristine Maico 490 valued at $10K (yes, they do get that high) I'd have to decline. Even for a million dollars I'd be very hesitant, because I'm not sure if all the money on the planet could fin...

Re: Story of a Heroin Addict. This thread is right.
Here's another good one. The only reason they're even drilling in such deep water is that the regulators told them they had to. If it were up to the company, they'd put it in much shallower water so that it was cheaper, safer, and easier to install, maintain, and fix in the case of an emergency. And...

businesses reailize 1 fact all too quickly and thats, people are naive and stupid. I recommend you watch a couple of episodes of Penn & Teller: Bullshit. you will see what kind of crap is out there and how easily people believe it. if you leave everything up to corporations we will be knee deep in ...

There's a difference between 0.2% CO2 content in air, and smoke. I don't care what kind of smoke it is, even if it's coming off a hickory log, it probably won't be a non-factor in the lung game. Besides, I've seen a tar comparison test between cigarettes and marijuana. That's where you take a drag t...

Re: 4 stroke vs 2 Stroke
We are all just really lucky to live in an age where ridiculously powerful bikes (and arguably un-useably powerful, except for the pros) are available at a reasonably affordable price for the more financially affluent among the worlds people. I know that I shake my head and count my lucky stars eve...
