A couple of requests for scripting -Scale billboard -Get camera location (maybe rotation as well) - this would be useful for optimising rain/snow animations Regarding custom frames, does unfilled areas just default to black when there's no alpha channel, and fully transparent if there is? Would it b...

How did DJ get half a point? How did I get any points, let alone 2nd in the series  I recall finding the multiplayer snapshot before it was posted on the forum, I think Shack did too. In the first snapshot, the game would crash when you hit another player  Also, remember when 4 50's were ...

Re: Game Scripting
It does change directions slightly in that particular gif. But yeah, next thing to try and do is change its behaviour with speed. Just need to work out the best way to collapse it on low wind speed.

Here's my soccer ball test. Just some files to chuck into the waterloo folder. https://ufile.io/k9bad https://media.giphy.com/media/39kMCYoLHHGS6Ey9En/giphy.gif Generally works pretty well, 2 things I need to fix: -Handle the y-axis rotation with the bones only, to stop the jerky rotation at slow sp...

Re: Game Scripting
Thanks JLV, that's all pretty helpful. This has definitely been a mission of extracting some long lost mathematics from deep within my memory. The cross product came in helpful for working out terrain normals I've got a soccer ball with some good physics going, but I was just neatening up the code, ...

Re: 2019-01-26 snapshot
Actually, I don't know why I just didn't test it with a script. I've confirmed that it is looking at the uncompressed terrain. All good

Re: 2019-01-26 snapshot
Sorry, what I meant to say, is the elevation based on the terrain the camera sees (which is compressed at a distance), or the uncompressed terrain? The elevation results would return different based on the camera location if it's the former.

Re: Game Scripting
JLV, how do you handle the rider bones (or 3d rotations in general)? I've been struggling to come up with a way deal with the rotation. I initially started by converting a euler rotation to a matrix, and tried running the rotations shown in pose mode in blender, but those rotations are with respect ...
