Maby you are runnning the game with the integrated graphics, try to enable the nvidia one, thats a common problem.

I use a thumb stick throttle...

Dont cut the berm that much, try just to round it to take speed

I also have a problem with lag. In my case, I do not have fps drops but I cant feel the game 100% smooth, even at 125fps there is a shaking sensation. I have tried everything, remove the v-sync, disable the demo recording,threaded optimization, I have tried everything that has been said in the forum...
