Re: Upcoming Models #2
If I was you, I would stop adding parts, rather focus on perfecting one part, I have been working on the 14 Honda gas tank for 4 days now to make sure its perfect, don't rush through it, because you will end up with a mess and loose motivation.

Try to make the lines and edges be an artwork in itself.

Very beautiful work! Truly special, I take my hat off to you sir.
At what frame rate did you record the slow motion parts? Very smooth, I am assuming no twixtor?

Re: Upcoming Skins and Shader Maps #2
I personally think you should spend more time on one kit rather than rushing through them and trashing each one.

Re: Kickstarter? Poll & Thoughts
You do realize that its pretty much common sense that a very small community would rather work together to bring the game up, once the game can stand its own, its pretty obvious that clicks will form and people will try to evolve whats already happening.

Re: Kickstarter? Poll & Thoughts
Matt so you say make the goal like $1,000 for the bike in general. Incentive would be like if you pledge $15+ you get a base template, if you pledge $50+ you get a complete aftermarket template, etc. ? Only problem I see with this again is, ripping. People who are jealous they didn't pay the $15+ w...

Re: Motosim Ideas
Thanks, I agree. Here is a video of the editor and the bike physics coming along. The suspension currently has a linear 5.1kg/mm spring, 5mm of preload and a linear damper. The rider is also at a fixed height, so he looks a little stiff, but that's is in the works and he or she will be able to sit d...

Re: Motosim Ideas
Oh hey, I calculated the moment of inertia of the crank with the piston, and calculated the torque the clutch is exerting on the crank, this gave me the torque and inertia values to calculate the angular acceleration of the crank. w = t/I The torque was calculated by finding the difference in rpm of...

Hello all, I have been in the process of developing a 2D moto game for years now, on and off, when I have time. I have also scrapped the project countless times and started over. Over the years my programming ability has dramatically improved and then I can't stand the bad code I wrote towards the b...

Re: The Math behind Internal Combustion
Before we go all physics and waste our energy... to what level of detail are you trying to model this engine? If you're trying to capture all the effects of friction, intertia, losses, etc.. This can (and will) get very complicated quite quickly. Well, not so much in the small energy parts, but rat...
