Start the engine new option ?

Post by I/JG53_Pogo »

I was wondering if that was not a good idea in the future to add this option of course, if this is possible .
Wy have manual gearbox ,clutch so i think that it would be useful also with “N” gear position.

Why would you want neutral? And how would you go from 1st to 2nd gear? 2 taps? It would just be annoying

Forgive me
I'm new here and I have really a lot of questions :D

About gear :
I think about this simple solution,

N-1-2-3-4-5-6 \ 6-5-4-3-2-1-N

Thats all :)
In real ride u don't pass from Up to down betwen 1-N-2 ,3 ,4 etc ...
automatically is 1-2
Only when you are not riding when u stop you can find "N" gear
Cross bike have also half-automat gearbox u can change u gear without clutch

I apologize for my bad English but I think you understand me ?

You can still hit nuertral when riding if you don't up shift from first to second hard enough. Happens to me sometimes.

It will be good to have N gear in game, but i think there is bigger problem. In real you can only start(not kickstart....start like go) on firs or second gear but in mx sim you can gear to fifth gear push clutch a bit and you can go. I think thats bigger problem with gears or gearing...

If you know how to use the clutch its not hard at all to start in any gear you want to. Its not efficient to start in 5th, and it is hard on your clutch, but its not impossible. Back on topic, I don't really see any reason to need neutral on this game.

Yeah it can happen between any gears, its if you shift when you're reving it too hard, not fun
Also, hitting netural just before a jump sucks

I'm gonna build a USB kickstart peripheral. Force feedback and all. It'll launch you over your monitor and into the wall if you're riding an old 450 or a 500 2-stroke.

That's why you use the compression-release, mate. Small lever over the left grip.
