Idk... to me it just seemed like it turned better? or maybe its because of my preference to 125s and me having to ride hard to make it work?Phathry25 wrote:Umm, no. The 350 has all the same specs. i think 350 may be the way to go for sx because it doesnt loop out and isnt as uncontrollable than the 450sCorpralbarn wrote:Idk... to me it just seemed like it turned better?Phathry25 wrote:Umm, no. I think the best two 450's are the KXF450 (Best) and the RMZ450F (Second Best).
That's just me though.

Exactly what i was going to say if these problems were fixed the 450s would be perfectPhathry25 wrote:
The rev limiter is set too high. On my 2007 450 its at 11,200 on the 2004 10,600. I see you set the rev limit for all bikes at 12,500, which is 500 RPM above what the KTM (highest revving) bike goes in the dyno charts. On a 450 I know in 1st-3rd gear you would be able to pull the bike into the rev limiter very hard. In game even in 1st gear, you can't pull the bike into the rev limiter. Also, setting it so high leaves a gap in the sounds, they go soft from 11,000 to 12,500, which is disappointing. Why doesn't each bike have it's own individual rev limit?
Also, the low end power is too little. On a 450, heck even on my 250, I can ease myself off at an idle (2500RPM) and whack the throttle and pull the front end up. In the game its bog city...lol. I think what you see on the dyno charts with the lower power down that low are not WOT numbers. On the dyno, you press the button to start the run and hit the throttle at the same time. I believe where they start off is basically a closed throttle power number, and where they begin to climb at a lesser rate is where WOT is reached. Am I explaining that well enough?
What Yamaha youtube video did you use for this? One of Kyle Chisolm from 2011 nationals?
Long live the old XR's and XL's

The charts they are based off, Suzuki is the fastest. The Conman wrote:I think the best two 450's are the KXF450 (Best) and the RMZ450F (Second Best).

I think that can be attributed to the lower gearing and higher revving nature of the bike. I can corner pretty quickly on the 350, mainly because its easier to get on the gas earlierCorpralbarn wrote:Idk... to me it just seemed like it turned better? or maybe its because of my preference to 125s and me having to ride hard to make it work?Phathry25 wrote:Umm, no. Personal folder wont open, even though I've had the game for 2 years......feel like such a noob.......-__- help? Can't remember how to get it to work, I know where it is, it just wont open.
Re: 2011-11-17 snapshot
Check the dyno's. It's the lowest revving... I'm dumbfounded by that...DJ99X wrote:I think that can be attributed to the lower gearing and higher revving nature of the bike. I can corner pretty quickly on the 350, mainly because its easier to get on the gas earlier

Yeah, but you sit in a higher rev range rather than short shifting like you do on the 450.
Re: 2011-11-17 snapshot
I thought the rev limiter seemed a little abrupt so I added a little torque at the top of the curve to soften it up instead of instantly dropping from 20 ft/lbs to 0. I'll take it out for the next one. I thought it sounded cheesy but maybe it's realistic.Phathry25 wrote:The rev limiter is set too high. On my 2007 450 its at 11,200 on the 2004 10,600. I know what you're saying about the dyno, and I've seen plenty of videos of complete clowns doing dyno runs. It's amazing how many people shut off before the bike even revs out all the way. (I assume that's what happened to the 350.) When I don't have good data I try to be conservative with the extrapolated numbers.
Sorry about that. Should be fixed in the next snapshot.Jones221 wrote:I hate running into people who disconnected after thhe race! change it!

windows 7-try hitting start, go to search, type in %appdata%, "roaming" folder should appear...and mx folder should be there, that is if your setup like metyrm85 wrote:Personal folder wont open, even though I've had the game for 2 years......feel like such a noob.......-__- help? my sig was infested...
Re: 2011-11-17 snapshot
As it is now you can rev the bike until you bury the tach, hold it for an instant, back off, and never hear the rev limiter. It's like it fades in. It should be abrupt. Not quite sure what you mean with your torque talk, but I'll just check it out in the next snapshot and see if its better.

The bottom end sounds are AMAZING! It really demonstrates the low end grunt that a 450 has. The top end does need some work and the rev limiter is pretty top notch. The rev limiter sounds close to identical of the YZ450.
