If it launches, its working. As I said, try Millville or Washougal. The erode is narrower and is more noticable

--erode 1 doesn't seem to work for me too.. I loaded up Washougal, and didn't notice anything, then went on top gun los banos and didn't notice anything there either. Even tried doing a "burnout" or however you call it, and no ground deformation whatsoever.

No, erode followed by a number is showing me no erode even after a lap or two, even set at 5.

Eaiest way to check is to load up lakewood (or any track with colored shadingx2) and ride, you should notice the track changing colors as you pass over it,.

for whatever reason i can't get erode to work. I've been using it for years now so I know all the command line stuff. I've tried it with roost on and off. Tried updating the shading manually. Tried it all on millville and nothing was working. Haven't had the time to read all the way through the topic in the track editing so maybe i'm forgetting something stupid. Out of time now though they are dropping the gate at southwick!! is there something easy that i am overlooking?

Sorry for my ignorance. I think it is working now. Does how quickly the ruts and shading change and appear really depend on our computer? My laptop doesn't run the game nearly as good as it used to. Ruts and shading changes seem to take a long time to show up. I'm just used to the old erode system and need to play around with this one some more. I used to spend countless hours rutting up tracks with the old system. It is a ton of fun on the right tracks.

The erode takes a long time to make any visible changes because it is much more realistic. You're not going to notice anything after doing 2 laps, especially if the track is already bumpy.

bumped the erode setting way up like others have suggested. milville is a shit ton of fun now! should be interesting once people get the track settings figured out and what a good --erode number is to get some quicker but realistic ruts going. great work!
