I'm fine with file size, it isn't file size I'm worried about, it's in game performance.

Check your texture sizes though. No need for a 4096 texture on an object a mile from the track.

Yeah your best bet would be to bump it in up to a 16'384 texture map and incorporate some custom mipmapping.

I'm ridiculously tight on time, so I'm gonna be working on mine until the last minute if I wanna have a chance at submitting something remotely decent. Could you give us a specific time (with a timezone) please, so that we can maximize the time we have?

How about you can have until 9/17 at approximately 5PM Central time US when I get off work.

If it's a few hours late, not a huge deal, just let me know it is coming is the most important part. Now I won't push it DAYS but hours is not a big deal at all.

Do we have to add flaggers or it is up to us? Will the track be punished if there aren't? I will add the 30 seconds and finish line guys but i don't really want to add the rest.
Thanks

The track is almost finished. Can't wait to see what you guys are doing!!

But what if these tracks are free? Will you ride them even if they are unsafe?

It's all up to you. I can't say you will or will not be punished because it will be up to the judges on whether or not they feel they help or hurt the track. It's up to you to make the decisions to build the best track that you can.

I personally wouldn't knock you points for it.

Since when has anyone payed attention to flaggers anyways? Waste of time to place them around the whole track.
