Curious if anyone else is having a skin issue with this snapshot. I join a server and the skins are on, server restarts and I load in with default everything. The skins are a new team pack, but no one else is having this issue.

Side note, i'm only using 2xxx of virtual memory.

This is likely because the server has homologated bikes and you're not on one of the bikes homologated so you get set to default skins with the first homologated bike. If it works in single player it's not a snapshot issue.

The servers I am referring too are elsinore servers.

Might be using skin names that are too long. Are you seeing any error messages about "rider info too long"?

I haven't noticed any error messages. I'll make sure to lookout for that. That would cause everything else to default? The only name that is long is the gear so that makes sense, but wheels, helmet, and bike are an average length.

It's the total for all skins and the rider name and number. I was wrong about the error message. It doesn't produce an error message. It sets your name to "rider info too long".

A normal rider info looks like this:

fc450(2017)|@rider_body-2018 MV Films SX Seven-Blue.png|@fc450v2016-2018 MV Films SX TW-Jeremy Cohenour #30.png|@wheels-2018 MV Films SX 450-Black Red.png|@rider_head-2018 MV Films SX Gloss RedBull-RedBull.png
30
Jeremy Cohenour | MV Films

That example is 239 characters. (The 2 newline characters count against the total.) If it goes over 512 characters it sets the rider info to this:

yz250f
999
rider info too long

So you probably just need to shorten the name on your skins.

Gotcha gotcha, looks like that seems to be the issue. I changed to a gear set that had 5 less characters and it has been fine... switched back to the first one and next restart it defaulted.

That's my fault haha, I didn't mean to "blame" the snapshot. Frickin 16 years on this damn game and have never came across that lol

Thank you for the help.

Good evening, when I go to playback race with the snap version 04/12/24, I have a black texture which is my driver permanently, I have the reshade software installed on my PC but I don't know if it This is what causes the game's texture bug, I'm sending you a screenshot of the texture problem which is continually bugging

I'd try it without reshade first.

Same issue here, I disabled reshade but to no avail. Uninstalling reshade might have a different outcome but I didnt test it. Anything over 2k texture memory usage usually results in black textures for me.

Do you mean it works at 2048x2048 but not 4096x4096?

Think theres a pretty game breaking glitch with this snapshot, seems like sometimes the wheels glitch into the ground and come back out and make u crash.

here is some clips just from the racing tonight in rf:

Ah sorry for the confusion here, I just meant the usage of the texture memory and not the specific setting.

I just tried hidden hud while loading up a demo and have 3419 MB texture memory usage and didn't have this issue. Jlv, did you fix the wrapping for the texture memory value yet? I'm wondering this value is possibly 6GB instead of 2GB. Does this happen every time for you Race? Or does it seem inconsistent?
