Fast way to select rider in Photoshop by p2sta

ive got this so far and tried different things but the picture wont change like yours...

this is how it should look, now go to Select - Color Range and follow the other steps

I never had problems with this in cs5, but I guess it doesn't work in photoshop cc for some reason? (Adobe won't let me get some older version :x )

i have still cs5, so not really sure whats the problem, but IMO it should work fine...
did you click the black part of the image after the select color window pop up?

Works fine in Creative Cloud which is technically CS6.

you need to insert both images into one photoshop document (so they are two layers)

open one in photoshop and drag the other onto it. it will be placed as new layer

At step 3 my rider becomes white instead of the background.

I Cant seem to find where to get to the 'difference' setting :/
