Re: FAQ - Noobs come here!

Post by JETZcorp »

I didn't want to make a new topic so I'll post this here.

The other day, just after I sent in my demo for WMSA Rd.1, my MXS stopped working. I click on the shortcut, the game opens up in windowed mode, but I can't click any of the menu items. The cursor will highlight them, but clicking does nothing. The only buttons that work are the Minimize, and the Fullscreen. Even the red X doesn't work, so I have to go into Task Manager to ax the program. I opened up my crusty old MXS Demo version (which is in a different folder, on a different drive) and noted the same behavior. I deleted the .cfg in the personal folder, and noted the same thing, except this time it went to fullscreen default. Any ideas?

Huh, that was out of left field. Seems like a rather odd time to declare your a noob. Anyways...

1.) Seems like a 'no duh' thing to say, but each of the 250 bikes handle differently. Seems like the yamaha & suzuki are tighter in the turns, as in maybe slower and not as sharp (and more noob friendly), while the honda & kawasaki turn sharper and quicker. All using same settings of course.

2.) I know this kinda goes in the models forum, but I've downloaded all the bike/rider models and skins. Everything works fine for me but the AI bike skins are not correct, ie maybe using the old model skins. If there is a step to correct this, then its not easy to find in that forum (i searched).

Scroll down a little bit, and there's stock skin packs for every bike except for the yami (which had the skins in same package). I think they should replace the old default skins. But if you've already tried this, then I'm out of advice.

Ok so I have a really basic question. I have downloaded the demo off the website and I absolutely cant get used to using the keyboard. Does the full version support a joystick? I am only going off the Demo and have not found any specs online as to what is actually in the full version.

Yeah and the demo supports a joystick too, I'm pretty sure!
