-Second and third place awards-

Post by YzJarne_196 »

When you are in the lead with, for example 40 seconds, the other riders give up on chasing you and they often disconnect, and it's pretty boring to ride alone in first place :| But when there are awards for second and third places they wouldn't give up and they would still try to get that podium place. And it's more fun to battle for a first, second or third place :D

I hope this inspired JLV

Sweendoggy

I don't think would be enough to make people not want to disconnect

Maybe add a sore loser award if you have a high enough DNF percentage?

Yeah, maybe add more achievements??

DISCLAIMER
I haven't discovered all the original achievements so I'm sorry if I'm repeating stuff. Also, I don't know if the current system could identify all the achievements I talk about below

Cocky - win a race with your last lap being your worst lap of the race by at least 7 seconds
Left 4 dead - get lapped, unlap yourself and win the race
G.O.A.T. performance - win a race, lapping everyone else and having a consistency of 3,0 or less
Last call - win a race only leading during the last lap
96er - win and get the holeshot for 5 or more consecutive races

Average Joe - finish a race with a consistency of 1,5 or less
In the blink of an eye - place better than someone else by less than 0,2 (I know a blink is shorter)
In crescendo - finish a race with every lap being faster than the one before

G.O.A.T. performance comes from that really muddy 2006 AMA MX race where Ricky Carmichael lap the whole field and even with that kept pushing till the last couple of laps. 96er comes from Jeremy McGrath's performance at the 1996 AMA SX season, where he won most races and in most of them he also got the holeshot or got the lead after a lap or less. All the rest are originals, I think (I don't know if I have copied something I once saw by accident)

I think more awards would make things more interesting online.
