yeah, forgot I had a custom skin Im working on as the set one, and the graphics were full so my comp crashed. No lag, was racing w/up to 5 other people. Little problem though. at random moments the other riders just stop moving and never start again, just frozen in time. I'm left riding w/ a constant ping of 171, before they all stop, running at about 150 ping.

This is very rough around the edges. Everything seems to work OK so far. It's hard to tell sometimes though as we have a pretty diverse range of connecting types here. Obviously the locking up when you hit bug needs to be fixed, I'm getting it and have more than enough computer to calculate the collision, so there must be something else happening.

Someway of communication would be nice. Most games you press "t" and it brings up a cursor so you can chat. Just have it display the messages off to the side, in a smaller font. That would be my only request for this very first version obviously a lobby is needed later.

Looks good so far, just need the riders to show more courtesy knowing that if you do hit your race is done. Just try and play nice and leave the dudes around you plenty of room, its no fun having to ctrl-alt-del to get the game to close, and I know everyone can agree on that.

is there anyway to play on LAN?

That "suzuki" might have been me  Is there anyway to reduce ping?

my total ping gets to like 170,000ms with an offset of like -100 to 300

So, what will be the go with setting up servers for this game? We really need our own server over here in Australia, because Gordy, Yomo195 and I get pretty high ping. Its possible for me to set up a dedicated server in this house, as we have some spare computers, and a pretty quick internet. I just wouldn't know where to start with it. Heck, I'd think about renting a server out if its too much trouble setting up one here.

Oh yes, that was the other question I wanted to ask, how do we play LAN?

Yomo, you can't reduce the ping, thats just a result of us living far away from America. Don't worry about the 170000ms ping, thats false. I'm getting about 250ms ping here, you should be pretty close to that.

This bug is stressful...

Im more than happy to pitch in for a server over here, or if DJ could set one up that would be awesome.

You can reduce ping by closing any other internet apps (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Firefox, IE, etc.)
My average ping is about 10-20ms- but I'm pretty damn close to the server.

AND WHO THE HELL KEEPS KNOCKIN' ME OUT?!?!? lol
Some bastard on a Zook!
