One more try and I'm out of ideas. I've changed the specular settings for the sliders to be non-zero on this one. It seems like it should have no effect on the vertex position but who knows with ATI drivers.

When you adjust the main stability control it will reset them for that stability.

Just realized there was a big difference in the time of the last log. It says it was at 7:48 when it is almost 9:30 here and my computer clock is set to 9:30.
I deleted the last log and started a new race and once again the time was out. Only it was at 7:54 and I checked the last modified time on windows and it says it was last modified at 9:28.

That's the system time. It's usually going to be the total time the computer has been running rather than the calendar time.

The file still looks truncated. Are you sure you're getting the whole thing?

Are you using Windows 7 yomo? I got it to work a few times by deleting it, but now it still cuts off when I delete it and let it recreate itself.

There is a 10 second gap when it enumerates the DirectInput devices:

[0:55:28.37] Adding axis "PLAYSTATION(R)3Controller axis 3"
[0:55:38.38] HID-compliant device (HID-compliant device)

My guess is something is timing out looking for a non existent controller.

I'd look in the device manager and try to find out what "HID-compliant device" is.

Success!!! Thanks so much!

Here is a picture of my device manager.

I have no idea what they are and I have disabled them and the game opens instantly. I dont seem to have anything wrong with the computer so I have no idea what it is. Any ideas?

Anyway thanks again!

@JLV
I dont post much so heres just a few notes...

Great update. Thank you! Finally secret menu is a legit menu section. Smart move. The transparency with all this data on screen is a bit much. Any way to adjust background transparency?

I like the idea (by DJ) of some sort of basic list or drop menu for selecting servers, like from a text file. The current form uses your old menu navigation, not the updated navigation so how it works isnt cohesive with the rest of menus.

May I add a suggestion, when Im online racing and hit escape, it would make more sense to pull up the multiplayer menu system, rather then the main menu, as multiplayer was where I was last at. The multiplayer menu has the main menu button (I think) to back out if needed for settings etc. Considering we request restart every game I think this suggestion flows better with menu navigation.

Introduced in one of these recent snapshots (since maybe the shader stuff got started) is pressing "t" to chat puts a "t" into chat window, almost every time.

Why you so secretive about what your plans are for mxs? Shadows for bikes/riders?

Good points on the menus. I've been putting together all the 1.3 installers so it's too late for that, but I'll keep it in mind for the next snapshot.

I wouldn't say I'm secretive. I just don't want to promise something and not deliver.
