It took me about 2 hours, with problems ranging from "WSAECONNRESET," to my friend getting "contacting sever" to him being disconnected for not matching client info, but I finally got it figured out and up and running.

Thank you very much yzmxer608 for the tutorial, and JLV for the README and everything. Through many read-overs and tries, finally got 'er up and running and I'm stoked about it.
Been around Sim too long to still be this bad.

Good to hear you got it working. By far the most annoying part is dealing with connection issues/firewalls.

When I go to run the server, I get a programmer too lazy error, and I just get disconnected. It worked the first time, but now when it asks for my uid that pops up.

Did you make sure there's no firewall blocking the server and port?

What version of the mxserver do you have? Make sure you have the newest one, and the newest snapshot.

Did you correctly forward the ports, or have another firewall blocking the server?
