New features:

- Demo menu. (Put your demos in "MX Simulator/demos".)
- Race against prerecorded demos. (Hit "Playback Race" and then set "Playback Mode" to "Race Against".)
- The game can now run with no track loaded.
- Error messages are now printed to the screen instead of the console standard error output.
- Non power of 2 textures are now scaled to the next higher power of 2.
- If a file cannot be found, the game will now do a case insensitive search for a match. (Mostly useful on Linux.)
- More torque just above idle for yz250f.

Linux users: http://mxsimulator.com/snapshots/mxbin-2008-07-25

Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

sick work jlv,
the multi-lap demo race (good idea DJ) is awesome, and i can see it being very beneficial for nats training.
the error script on startup is cool too, and certainly will help out when making tracks.

Thanks JLV, this is a great update. Certainly lets my computer start the game faster. The demo race feature is just how I expected it to be, great! And thanks for fixing the YZF's bottom end power, its much better now. Now, to race...

oh thanks i dont like seeing a Green fender when i start the game...
[cough]144's for next one please?[/cough]

EDIT: i think there is one more thing that should be added to this snapshot. When i choose race against ex. mooch, and lets say i had a battle with someone. then i want to be able to watch me(the race i recently did) And the others as one demo. Not just me alone.

Download the demos from the Demo Repository thread (if you dont have them already), and put them into the demos folder which is in the personal folder. You can make subfolders in the demos folder if you want to keep things neat. I recommend trying the Locust race.

I agree this is a sick update. The only problem Im having is that my bike skin cannot be read for some reason. What should I do?

Nice update, I'd love to race against my ghost but its just too big of a pain in my butt to exit out, browse to the demos folder and rename the demo every time. Surely theres a more user friendly way of doing this. It would be great if the game would just automatically name the demo, something like Trackname-date-localtime. Would save me a lot of headaches.
