Changes:
  • Fixed launch to Neptune bug when reseting a time trial.
  • Added new mipmap mode. Put "[mip_max_alpha]" in the png comment and the mipmaps will use the max alpha value instead of the average when downsampling.
  • New billboard statue mode. When angle is over 3.25, the angle becomes the level of detail where the model will always face the viewer.
  • New Y aligned statue mode. When angle is less than -2*pi, the statue will be aligned with the global Y axis.
  • Smoothed out the off idle torque for all bikes.
  • LOD's can now be fractional (e.g. "tree_lod7.5.jm")
  • Changed the 2 stroke sound a little.
  • Added "pipe2" and "pipe4" commands. These let you play with the pipe parameters. Usage is "/pipe2 <pipelength> <mufflelength> <reverbamp>". "pipe2" changes the 2 strokes and "pipe4" changes the 4 strokes. Default for pipe2 is 1.75 0.3 -0.75. Default for pipe4 is 5.0 1.0 -0.85

Replace mx.exe or mxbin with one of the above files. I'd keep a backup of the originals since these aren't well tested.

Hell yeah.

Can you please give us an example of how to apply the mip map thing. I'm not really sure where to place it exactly

Don't know about Photoshop, but on gimp it's under Image/Image Properties.

The wire fences turn into solid walls now, but thats much better than them disappearing altogether. Cheers!

I love the upright thing. So handy for alot of things.

With the new billboard statue lod thing though. I can make the model do the rotating thing, but how do you make the 3D model go to a flat plane? Does this work well for trees that have the leaves and trunk in a separate model? Cheers

Nice snapshot JLV. The only problem is that weird clanging noise on the 250s. No matter what I do I can't get it to go away. It almost sounds like there is a washer floating around inside the exhaust. Honestly I can't even ride the 250s now because its really giving me a headache. Going up on the reverb makes it better but it seems like it maxes out at 1.0 I think. After that when I make a change it actually cuts the sound off. If I restart the game the sound is back on but no matter how high I go with it, it doesn't change. Any suggestions?

what happens when you change the pipe?

the changes aren't very big, and ever since I changed it I hear a very high pitched noise when I'm on the gas it is very annoying.
