Im stuck with the timing gates stuff..

Do you just put the place where the lap finishes, or a series of points around the track that you have to go through in order to complete the lap

Both, you need to put the gates around the track so you ride through them, and you have to put a gate that signals the end of a lap.

Ok im really stuck with these timing gates ..

I went round my track plotting the points of the left side of gates, and the right side of gates and put them all into that generator thingy, pressed enter and it just came out with exactly what i had typed in rather than all the brackets and everything.

If someone could explain it extremely simply and slowly for me, would be a great help

Done in game. If you need to add more, copy and paste some lines from an untouched timing_gate file into this.

firstlap
Order of timing gates you need to take to complete the first lap
normallap
Order of timing gates you need to take to complete a normal lap[quote="DJ"]

Did you edit the Timing Gate file, putting the order of the timing gates for each lap down the bottom of the file?

What exactly is your problem?

When i start a new race it will stay on lap 1 no matter how many times i go around the track.

On time trial, when i come back to the zero gate (the finish line) the ghost rider just randomly pops up at a different gate on the other side of the track and continues from there instead of spawning at the finish line gate. :?

Make sure you have that spare line after the last line of the file, I bet that is the problem

What DJ is saying is after the last line (The numbers) you need to put another empty line. SO just hit return and then save it
