add option for handlebar controller

Post by MXF_Popopski »

Hello JLV,

I created a home made handlebar for MX Sim but the control of the direction is not suitable.
It's possible to add an option for ride with handlebar ?? ( when I turn with a corner of 30 degre , I only want to turn my handlebar with a corner of 30 degre during all curve)

Pic of my home made handlebar :D

Try switching direct steering to 1 in the advanced setup menu. Although I doubt it will ever feel very natural because it's not how you ride a bike in real life. The best setup would be a set of handlebars that you turned just like on your bike and a large force feedback motor provides the lean angle based on your in-game lean angle. Nice job on the bars though, are the electronics custom hardware or did you rip up an old controller?

I modified a old Steering wheel for ps2 ( my handlebar is fixed on the Steering wheel, the throttle and the break are connected with cables on they pedals)

But for the controller, I want to simulate the corner of my bike with the corner of my handlebar. But currently is not possible to do like that.
Actually, I know that in real life we dose not ride a bike like that.

So for JLV,

You think that it's possible to play, like I think, in your game ?? OR it's too difficult to create this option ?

From one English speaker speaking for another, I don't have a clue what you want changed in the game.

Do you mean to limit the lock to lock range on your wheel?

The steering input controls the torque on the bars. It doesn't directly set the bar position.

It would be impossible to balance since the stabilizer couldn't turn the bars in the game if they always matched your controller.

Hahaha, I see your 'homemade handlebars' you just put some handle bars on a steering wheel
