difference between online/offline

i'm interested to know what differences others find between offline and online?

when i go online on the stock track server the track can be the same grip level as i experience offline or way more iffy ,it seems to vary a whole lot and thats got more pronounced lately , maybe because the server is more populated or because of the change to the new server. thing is i dont notice any stutter or loss of framerate either way , the game seems to perform the same, its just the grip goes. i've tried running 128x128,256x 256 or 512x512 textures, but i cant see any difference in my pc's relative performance,its still runs smooth whatever, so i'm thinking the cause is perhaps not my GPU or CPU capability but more related to my internet connection or connections of other players.

anyone else experience the same? sometimes its gets to be unplayable! whats the cause?

A · you have modified the stock tracks somehow
B · you get more nervous when racing online so it seems you have less grip
C · you may be right but I don't think so

I meant between the same track online and offline , yes i know theres different traction on different tracks
