Of course it will. It will use a lot more texture memory for a start. You don't have to run it though

You have to add a line to the lighting file and make norm/spec maps for your decals. I didn't want to enable it by default since a lot of tracks depend on baked in shading.

It uses 3 times as much texture memory for the terrain cache. I wanted to cheap out on the norm/spec maps by using lower resolution but it looked awful without full resolution.

i create a txt file name it tileinfo and put it to all documents and it still shows up as a txt document?
Oh sorry, missed this.
If it shows up as a txt document, means it still has the .txt file extension.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... extensions
Here's how to make windows show the file extensions. You can then remove it from the tileinfo by simple clicking "rename" and then deleting the ".txt" from the filename's end.

And yes, you should have a folder called 2012.mxon.lommel where the fastlap demo for the track is. Place the tileinfo file there.

I don't think it will help that much. Looks pretty much the same unless there's a lot of specular.
barrington314 wrote:Im assuming this update will debut for sx 2013, JLV. ?
Definitely.
I think the spec and normals on the terrain look great, but they really amplify the appearance of riding "on" the dirt instead of "in" the dirt, if you know what I mean.

The last MVA game on PS3 really had that figured out.
