Whats your pc?

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

I'm thinking of buying a new graphics card... any suggestions?

I currently have a intel core 2 dup with "viiv technology"
and for a graphics card I have an nvidia GeForce 7900GS which isnt bad, but isnt great either
I'm looking for a good upgrade that's not too harsh on the wallet,
my computer is also PCI Express

I would like to suggest this http://www.techshout.com/hardware/2011/ ... ve-gaming/

It can handle all the games on full! It's expensive but it's worth it if you are a REAL gamer ;)

Heat dissipation
1280 BTU/hr

Note: Heat dissapation is calculated based upon the power supply wattage rating.

Voltage (see the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide for important voltage setting information)

Backup battery
3-V CR2032 lithium coin cell

Got a new pc a fue nights ago. Still hasen't arrived yet so idk how she truly runs yet.
Specs, basically a half custom pc.
PROCESSOR 2nd Generation Intel Core i7-2600 3.4GHz/3.8GHz Turbo, Quad-Core, 8MB Smart Cache

MOTHERBOARD Sandy bridge, ECS P67H2-A3 B3 Revision - SATA 6Gbps, USB 3.0 & Crossfire - 2 x PCI-E 16x Slots

VIDEO CARD nVidia GeForce GT 430 1GB GDDR3

SYSTEM MEMORY (RAM) 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600MHz Low Latency Memory in dual channel configuration

POWER SUPPLY TAGAN PLATINUM SERIES 800W, 80 Plus, SLI & Crossfire Certified EPS Power Supply
Yea, so thats all the important specs, oh, and + a 1tb western digital hard drive. I think that the video card should do the job for a bit, but in the near future i will buy a 3gb nVidia gtx 590 and run 2 cards. Really keen for this considering my current pc has a 10year old video card, less than 500mb, intel pentium 4, and less than a gb of ram.

New PC i'm going to build shortly (once I receive the funds)

Antec 300
i3 2120 or i5 2500k (depends on how much I get)
EVGA GTX560 (non Ti), or XFX HD6870
Gigabyte GA-990 UD3
8gb Kingston Hyper X ram
1TB 7200RPM Seagate HDD
LG DVD drive
Already have a 750W PSU

This build (i3, XFX 6870) is $715CAD. NCIX has a store in town, so no shipping costs :)

Any recomendations that will cut costs and not reduce performance will be greatly appreciated.

If you have enough money, try to buy 2 x 6870 , stock model, from sapphire for exemple. they are at 175$ for a new card, and about 115$ for occasion. then I have a crossfire for 300$, that is a real beast, kicks gtx 580' ass.

And for sure if you MB have 2x pci x16.

I would love to have 2 cards, but I just dont have the money. I might build my PC, and then get a 2nd card later on, but until then...

The i3 2120 is a better CPU from what ive seen. even the i3 2100 (little bit slower than the 2120) is better than the Phenom 2 X4 965BE, and its $10 cheaper. I REALLY want an i5 2500k, but its not an option in my situation.
