nah its never too late. They usually dont sell out until the night of the race, if at all. 2 years ago we didn't decide to go to Atlanta SX until friday, the day before the race, so we just bought our tickets at the stadium. Of course it depends on which one you want to go to. I doubt any of them are already sold out tho.
