The Math behind Internal Combustion

I've heard conversation coming out of animal pens that is more intelligent than what is going on in here.

If you have access to it, Ricardo is the easiest option. Ricardo is an analysis program that will allow you to plug in the dimensions for the motor (bore, stroke, compression ratio, valve size, intake angle, misc air variables, exhaust dimensions, types of fuel, etc) and it will output basically whatever you want. Without having access to any internal engine measurements other than piston measurements a group I was in was able to get to within 10% of the brake power curve for an f4i engine.
