I think Nick is just curious when Hangtown specifically will be released since it appears to be mostly ready from the videos and streams where people are riding it. He knows when the tracks are supposed to be released (Monday-Wednesday).

Just because it looks finished doesnt mean it is... there is still work to be done but, we are planning to have the track ready to go soon.Ddavis wrote:I think Nick is just curious when Hangtown specifically will be released since it appears to be mostly ready from the videos and streams where people are riding it. Haha, some over your prizes never got delivered to me, some are in boxes with addresses ready to be dropped off a payed for at USPS, I have a race tech package I've never opened, it's all in a closet somewhere at my house... I think I have a butt load of gift cards somewhere too. I lost interest in being the "prize manager". Prizes are a nightmare, you couldn't pay me enough to manage that!
Also, thanks Darr, glad to have a supporter still!
Also, for you kids out there, I started rF, ran the majority of it during its heyday (2012), became less and less involved because of life, and eventually got boxed out from contributing. I learned about the pay to play on the forums, and promptly closed all my rF related accounts. Prior to rF, aside from JLV, I think I paved the way for hosting as you see it today.
If rF could make enough profit to actually make a dent in the amount of time they had available to put into the game (hire employees, quit their jobs, switch to part time work) I would be excited about the future. However, they are making this game more exclusive than before (reducing their reach) and they might get $1000 a piece when it's done...call it $2000 for the year... That isn't a lot of money, and if they are ready to quit now, they will still be ready to quit in the near future.
Oh well though, it sounds like a lot of people like the idea, so maybe I'm wrong. Guess we will have to wait and see, but I will be the first one to say I told you so when this shit turns sour, and I'll shed some tears when my baby, rF, dies.
