Hey p2sta, I'm curious, you're saying that the high poly model won't work because of how detailed it is right? How much tris the bike will be when it's done and what's a reasonable amount that modern graphics cards can handle?

It would be possible to run it in game with that detail. But after a couple of bikes, it will be a lagfest. No game runs models with that detail. That is why you use normal maps.

when finished I think it will be more then 1 million of tris.

From what I read here on forum, what DJ99X and other wrote, it's good to keep the bike under 11000 tris to be playable in mxs.

yes way. so what if it's a 450 model or not, it could be a 900 street bike and still have the same performance specs as a 250 dirt bike.... modelers can't change the specs of the performance. only JLV...

You know that KTM 250SX-F you use in game? The motor in that was modeled from pictures of my 450. So it's a 450 model also. :roll:
