Goardy wrote:the black gradient on the delta graphics is a lot more "sudden" than that, youve got it spread over too far an area.
Also, the white shape near where it says "one" curves down as it goes towards the front of the shroud. You will more than likely have to make your graphics cover a greater area of the shroud to achieve thhis.
your right with the black gradient, worked on that. see pic's below
the curve thing, i tried to make it as close as i can, the curve is hard to fit on a wireframe like this.

so i made 3 different gradient thingy... tell me wich is best. i made the curve as well.

1st one: its super "sudden"with the black, i think this one is worst of all.
Image

2nd one: its ok, i think it's still to "sudden".
Image

3rd one: the black is were it should be and it turns to red on the right place,i think this one is best.

What program do you use to do these? I have attempted using GIMP but my lines always come out jagged, unlike yours which are clean and smooth. I've heard inkscape is a good rastorgraph program, I just can't afford photoshop.

i use gimp, so dont know what your doing wrong.
all i do is make a selection and fill it with an color.
for making the selection i dont hold the button to draw a line but i click and were i want my line to go i click again, maybe thats what your doing wrong

all those gradients look to be exactly the same, youve just got them occuring at different spots.
what i was trying to say is that youve got the gradient spread out over too far of an area, in other words, you need to make the "line" shorter in photoshop when you make the gradient.

finally get what you mean, i was doing the opposite of what you mean.
you mean like the airbox were the color changes from black to red is verry short.
