De Landsard supermoto
Here's a conversion of De Landsard, a small outdoor track in The Netherlands. It's mainly used for karts, but there's trackdays for moped racing and supermoto as well. No dirt, just tarmac.
The track is very technical; it's narrow and there's a lot of tight corners which require full lean angle and throttle control. Analog controllers might help, I'm using pedals myself.
A.I. works in expert mode only, but they really do well. A 1:00 is pretty good, and after some practice hours the A.I. did a 1.03. With the new snapshot - thanks JLV! - the A.I. rider set a fastest lap of 1:00.8, which is really good. My personal best is around 0:57.
Track picture: here (kart layout, different lines)
Onboard lap: here
External footage: here
Known bugs:

A.I. riders mess up in the first lap, they go wide at turn 1 and crash[/*]
To do:

Kerb strips[/*]

Better trackside objects (buildings, cars, trucks), not too happy with them[/*]
Thanks to wakestyle21 and INVADEtheLine for testing, JLV for his excellent support and quick snapshot release, and DJ for his objects and templates. Thanks guys!

Wow. It's great.
It's by far the best supermoto/motoGP style track.
I can pound out lap after lap, and never loose interest.
My fastest lap time is 57.6 (or somewhere in there. I'll get it in a second.)
Yup, 57.6.

Re: De Landsard supermoto
I was thinking about making a Supermotard track... until now!!! This is by far one of the best tracks made so far. It is very visually appealing, the track is quite tough, and the AI work great in my opinion (they smoked me). I am stunned at how great this track is.
Extremely good job Triggerhappy, I'll happily model objects for you anytime if you can keep up the standard you had with this track

57.6 is quite fast! I'm doing 57's on a four stroke, though I should be faster on a two stroke, as they handle better in the corners. Their engine behaviour ain't too well on this track though.Voutare wrote: I can pound out lap after lap, and never loose interest.

I noticed when you approach a corner, you can shift down 1 or 2 gears (and if needed use the rear brake) so the rear comes out and you'll slide into the corner. While sliding apply a bit of throttle to pick it up and there you go, taking corners supermoto style. The physics really work well!
Riding the track is hard work, yeah. You really have to find a good rhythm in order to do a decent lap and it's very easy to make a mistake.DJ wrote:It is very visually appealing, the track is quite tough, and the AI work great in my opinion (they smoked me).
Also, the lines used in the Youtube onboard lap is exactly the same, so I guess it's pretty accurate.
I really have to give credits to JLV for the A.I., they really pick good lines. The grippy tarmac did raise some traction problems though (trying too hard not to wheelie, opening/shutting the thottle in tight corners), but the latest snapshot really is an improvement.
That would be great, thanks!I'll happily model objects for you anytime if you can keep up the standard you had with this track

You do realize the last time someone posted a lap time in this thread was four and a half years ago? This track was made when Eli Tomac was on a supermini.
Re: De Landsard supermoto
This track was epic.

Not a very hard achievement seeing as though there is only about 4 supermoto tracks but its still a good track.MotardMatt220 wrote:I'd say its the best supermoto track made for simRobert196 wrote:This track was epic.
