The Judging
To fairly judge the tracks, each track will be put on elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19802 for one day, with a points race at the end of the day. After all the races are over, there will then be three days to vote. After a day to tally the votes the results will be announced.
The Competition
This is a competition to produce some great outdoor motocross tracks for MX Simulator.
Some tips for your tracks:
- Make sure your track isn't a resource hog. If it uses too much geometry it will be rejected. Check the rules for details.
- Don't put funky kickers on your jumps! For a smooth takeoff the last 10 feet should have a constant slope.
- Don't make your track too wide. 40 feet is plenty. Super wide highway style tracks make for less intense racing.
- Use solid objects (a haybale, tire, fence etc.) to mark the insides of your corners and make sure the inside edges of your timing gates line up with the objects. You don't want the players to have to guess if they're inbounds or not.
